About me
I've played over 1000 events between my Electro Swing gigs, private parties, weddings, bar gigs, and corporate gigs, so I now how to read a crowd and build a vibe over the night. I really enjoy playing across genres and am equally at home playing 80s and 90s crowd favourites as I am playing DnB & wobbly bassline music.
What to expect from me
When you book me for your wedding or private party I will spend time before liaising with you on requests. Attention to detail is important and I will make sure my set is personalised for you to give you an unforgettable night.
My set up
If you want a soundsystem and lighting rig I can bring that also. I have a state of the art QSC rig which is good for up to 300 people and has plenty of bass ;) My equipment is safety tested and I have public liability insurance so you don't have to worry. I also DJ off turntables - there's nothing more underwhelming than a DJ turning up to perform with just a laptop or small controller... you want the real deal!
Sooooo, who is the C@ In The H@?
Although I am DJing here under the name 'Cat In The Hat', I also DJ & produce Electro Swing professionally under the alias 'C@ In The H@'. There is obviously quite a bit of crossover, however the main difference being that 'Cat In The Hat' DJs all kinds of styles, whereas 'C@ In The H@' keeps it strictly to swingy stuff.

If you want a really versatile DJ who can read the crowd then look no further. I have played over 1000 shows in just about every music style you could think of, from House to DnB, Soul, Swing, 50s-90s, RnB, Latin & World Music, Breaks, Hip Hop, Disco, UKG, Reggae and more.
I have a high spec QSC soundsystem and lighting rig which I can bring with me if required (suitable for crowds of up to 200 people). A good quality PA can mean the difference between feeling the music and leaving the room.
Hire me for your wedding
I can play your special day, either for the evening or longer if required.
I will liaise with you beforehand for requests to make sure you get the music you want on the night. You won't just get a DJ who presses play either. I have decades of experience of performing to crowds so can keep the energy levels high on the dancefloor.
